Purpose Of Life

I lost to my fate; Infidelity has no mark.

I ran into the tunnel; surreptitious and dark.

To hear screams of thousand ghosts; rhapsody of a young lark

Looking for the purpose of Life; A truth so stark.

Cleopatra attired in a Gucci silk dress,

Stood on the Highway; looking for address.

“Take me home; let our bodies’ progress.

“Plenty of wenchs await to make your life a mess”

And then I see the crowd, gathering for the show

Glittering at the podium; Sat the luminary “Osho”.

“In the Betrothal of soul and Body; let the whistle blow,

And as you are running son, Are you sure which side to go??”

And Then I heard a gentle sound

By Jove stood an old lady in a wedding gown.

“Remind the Colonel of me; when you reach the town.

Take a flight, Son, Don’t forget the ground.”

And there stood Hitler, Naked in the shower,

Blood in one hand, and other had a flower.

“Smile and Kill to stay at the protean tower.

Even Prudent fall for the voracious power.”

Fortune telling lady near the phone booth,

Flashing tarot Cards, alludes the broken truth.

“You have come so far with a fate so brute,

Carefully choose a primrose path in the world astute.”

And there lie two puppets; trying to make Love.

Their lifelessness is their only bluff.

“I am tired of hanging around this stuff,

I am leaving because I have had enough.”

And there stood Death; in front of my room.

Shocked, she did not expect me so soon.

“I tried to be happy, but am just a loon.

Take me in your arms, take me to the moon.”
